Thách Thức $20 Triệu is the Vietnam business plan competition to find entrepreneurs who have skills and commitment to execute their business plan and develop a very successful business. The winner will receive a $400,000 investment and ongoing support to reach the target of a $20 million company value within 5 years.
Thách Thức $20 Triệu aims to identify highly committed entrepreneurial individuals who have experience in management positions at multinational companies in Vietnam, post-graduate students or those who have talents and commitment to succeed and take action to realize ther dreams. The participants will be evaluated by the Judgment Board comprised of venture capitalists and successful entrepreneurs. We specifically look for execution ability and commitment of the team, instead of just excellent ideas. We expect many of the short-listed participants will have business plans in areas such as branded consumer products, retail, franchises, distribution and internet.
The event is organized by Mekong Investment and co-sponsored by Mekong Capital, Navigos Group and LeBros Media.
WHAT
IS THE
PRIZE?
Investment
The winning
team will
receive an
investment
of $400,000,
in which
$10,000 will
be the award
for the
winning
team, which
they can
invest
themselves
in the
business,
and $390,000
will be an
investment
in the
winning
team’s newly
established
company.
With the
ultimate
goal of the
company
reaching a
value of $20
million
within 5
years, the
winning team
will
gradually
earn bonus
shares from
the company
as the
company
meets
pre-agreed
milestones.
Ultimately
if the
company
reaches the
target of a
$20 million
company
value within
5 years, the
winning team
will have
received a
number of
bonus shares
from the
company
equal to up
to 50% of
the
company’s
issued
shares, a
value of $10
million.
Note that
this
percentage
may be
reduced if
there are
other
investors
subscribing
additional
shares
issued after
the initial
establishment
of the
company.
Post-investment
ongoing
support from
investors
The investors will support on strategy, business expansion planning, financial reporting, building the capacity of the management team and capital raising at later stage if any. While the investors will be represented on the Board of Directors of the company, they will not involve in the management of the company.
However, there is no guarantee that the company will be successful as a result of the investors’ involvement and support and the investors take no responsibility if the company fails to execute its plan.
