$20 Million Challenge Contest closing (159 business plans received).
The Organizer of $20 Million Challenge has received 159 business plans, which cover a variety of sectors: restaurants (17 business plans); agricultural/ forestry (7); manufacturing (16); services (32); e-commerce/ website (26); media/ telecommunications (12); real estate (4); distribution (10); retail and franchise (21); education and training (4), construction (6) and IT (4).
70% business plans come from Ho Chi Minh city, the rest come from Hanoi, other provinces and from people who are currently studying and living in overseas.
The Organizer has selected the most excellent 23 business plans to the semi-final round. In mid of May 2008, The Organizer will interview the management team of these business plans to select the best ones for the final round.
The Early Submission deadline is coming soon, are you ready?
Thách Thức $20 Triệu is the business competition to find excellent and committed entrepreneurial teams who can execute their business plan to develop a business worth at least $20 million within 5 years. The team, or teams, judged most likely to successfully execute their plan will win the contest.
Up to now, the Organizer have received more than 20 business plans submitted to the contest. Among those, there are 12 business plans from Ho Chi Minh City and the rest are from Hanoi. The industries vary from information technology, manufacturing, store chain, spa chain to distribution. Besides the business plans which are submitted to the contest at the first time, the Organizer also receive the business plans of the first contest which have been revised by the participants. Especially, there are some team who are ready to start the business right now.
The Early Submission of the contest is 15 Mar 2008. The participants are encouraged to submit the business plan by the deadline to receive feedback from the examiner and revise the business plan. The Final Submission deadline is
15 April 2008.

On 27 December 2007,
The $20 Million Challenge Contest was officially kicked off at Melia hotel in Hanoi. More than 70 senior managers in multinationals and executive MBA students have attended the introduction seminar and enjoyed the sharing moments with Ms. Phan Hoang Mai (The winner of the 1st contest), Mr. Jonah Levey (Founder and CEO of Navigos group) and Mr. Pham Cao Vinh (Founder and CEO of Goldsun).

The event in Ho Chi Minh City was organized on 9 January 2008 at Park Hyatt hotel. The event attracted more than 150 peoples including journalists, senior managers in multinationals and executive MBA students. The participants have had interesting sharing and interaction with the guest speakers who are successful entrepreneurs in Vietnam, Mr. Chris Freund (Founder and CEO of Mekong Capital), Mr. Jonah Levey (Founder and CEO of Navigos Group and Vietnamworks), Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai (Founder and CEO of The Gioi Di Dong) and Ms. Phan Hoang Mai (the winner of the 1st $20 Million Challenge Contest).
